Reasonable outcomes ……Give me a minimum of a play off than another one off cup final?

 

There's VAT to take off before we get our share so that will take the number down a lot. I can't imagine we've made much, if anything from the 1st 2 rounds. If the home club made a loss in either or both matches we have to we have to share the loss with them. Also it's very likely the players will have win bonuses included in their contract so any money we make will have that taken off.
I've seen figures put out there about prize money but I'm not sure there is any prize money until the final where the runner up gets £50,000 and the winner gets £100,000.

 

He was a few weeks away last week, so who knows. Hopefully the rest has done him a world of good because Wright pre-concussion and post were night and day players.

We’ve also played more football instead of hoofing it blindly since Touray went to LCB, this has helped us control the game when ahead better. Not knocking Tilt, think he’s been solid defensively but he’s only a bit better than Kelly on the ball which means he’s crap on it. Touray, Wright and Pointon have linked up well on the left, playing good football. Same on the right, just look at the move for the pen!

 

Watching the Bournemouth/Newcastle game and its like watching paint dry absolute garbage for Premiership football.

Watched about 5 mins of it whilst queuing for a pint. Looked pretty woeful. Although I'd say Newcastle make 8/9+ changes to this team on weds

 

I'd have thought a Premier league game would have been more important than a Carabao Cup game although I accept as holder they won't want to go out especially to a league one team, but todays game so far has been very dire.

 

I'd have thought the same, especially as they play Arsenal a few days after us. Their bench today will have a lot of starters on weds.

Ahh well, I'll be in a balcony tier cheering on regardless!

 

They've got a tough 10 or so days with a must win game against us to avoid humiliation of being the holders and getting knocked out at their first round to a league 1 side then Arsenal at home a week today followed by an away game at Union Saint Gilloise which they really need to win or the Champions League starts to get very awkward. They've had a disastrous summer with transfers and to highlight it more they are really struggling for goals.

 

Correct,there is no prize money in the league cup unless you get to the final. The FA cup is far more lucrative with substantial prize money and even the much maligned EFL trophy is lucrative and in fact City have made about £300,000 in prize money altogether in the last two seasons by reaching the semi finals each year.

 

Appreciate this is a long shot, but a big City fan mate of mine (living in Edinburgh) is desperate for a ticket for Wednesday.
