Alexander saying Tommy Leigh came off unwell, and Adian Baldwin took a whack on his calf but doesn't think its the knee he's been struggling with.

No words after that. Superb performance and result and fully deserved. It's great to see us going to grounds like this and putting in a display like that. They're playing with so much confidence and it's a joy to watch some of the football we're playing currently. Onto Newcastle.

If i wasn't so pissed after celebrating this win/performance, i'd have said this. Though perhaps not as well. Excellent post.

Summed up perfectly with his other quote of “It’s not a tour”

We’ve shown (albeit only 9 games) that we can compete.
Maybe rode our luck at Stockport first half but football is about goals and they failed to score when on top.

Psychologically last week and today could be massive.
Cancels out the no-show at Doncaster and will give every player a massive boost and the belief that we are more than worthy to be in this division.

T Wright has to be like a new signing the way he has performed this season along with Leigh?

What is pleasing for me apart from the results of course is that we have different players chipping in with goals something we have struggled with in the past and to be averaging nearly 2 goals a game shows we have team that the opposition can't really mark certain players out of the game.

One area that I think we have to be aware of and look at is the amount of late goals we are conceding, at the moment we are getting away with it as we are 2+ goals ahead but long term we are unlikely to be able to keep doing that. So far it has only cost us 2 points in the Peterborough game. It is also linked to the lack of clean sheets with al 4 goals conceded in the last 15 minutes costing us a clean sheet, 1 clean sheet in 9 isn't sustainable if are to put in a top 6 challenge so it's something that needs looking at. Other than that I don't really see another stand out area that is a weakness with us at the moment which really does show how well we've started.

Get a settled defence and this doesn't become an issue. I think we have done ever so well so far and long may it continue. We have goals all across the team for a change.

"1 clean sheet in 9 isn't sustainable if are to put in a top 6 challenge"-yet we are currently top of the league based on that form? I would take that any day of the week.

We are only doing that though because we play with so much intensity, which more often than not is giving us a cushion to hang on. Trying to grind out 1-0 wins would require us to manage fitness throughout the 90 better, taking away from our intensity.

Not forgetting haven’t three taken place as soon as a centre back has done off injured ? That must have a negative impact but as you say only Posh cost us points.

As long as we are scoring more than opposition then clean sheets are irrelevant. When we stop scoring more than the opposition then it becomes a problem.

    A none issue for now.

Long term we won't keep scoring 2 or 3 every game which is why not keeping clean sheets isn't sustainable to a top 6 finish.
Last season the clean sheet totals for the top 6 22,24,17,23,18,18. Only Stockport finished in the top 6 but didn't finished outside the top 6 for clean sheets and they were 8th. It's no coincidence the top 3 clean sheets last season all got promoted.
