Injury update

So basically even our crap players are getting injured now.

 

If chicksen were a horse he’d be shot

 

Don’t know what’s worse (or perhaps better) a team of crap players or a load of crap injured players.

 

That made me laugh, I know I shouldn’t

 

Injured or not I don't want Mellor playing again anytime soon. Absolutely awful defender.

 

Reeves and Jones back to full training in the next fortnight.

Both been out for nearly a year with what seems phantom injuries

Truthfully the guy did not look like a defender, didn't know when to stick or twist.

Made one sort of crunching tackle in first half but otherwise just backed off and gave Blackpool the freedom of their pitch.

We've almost got more injured players than fit players.

We've not had anyone with an ounce of fitness knowledge since Allenby left.

 

Players were complaining that the German 'fitness coach' was getting them doing unrelated football exercises that their muscles were not conditioned for. Hence they were going down like flies in pre-season and always being kept back from friendlies.

We're now completely un-conditioned and have a team that is more susceptible to injuries. That's why we're blowing after 70 minutes and capitulating late in games.

Another scrimp and save short-term decision that is now costing us, dear. This team was down to its bare bones before injuries.

We'll be fielding kids with no experience and face winter in the relegation zone.

January is likely to be too late with no budget outgoings required before incomings.

 

What German fitness coach. I thought the old one came back for preseason

That's the one, Robert Lossau. He's beggered off again, but not before Edin got rid of Chris Short 'fitness and conditioning coach'. Mind you, a nice saving on the budget that would make any accountant proud.

 

Injury update

I slept funny and my hip hurts
I'll be available for Charlton but I may need a painkilling pint and Istanbul shawarma

If we are getting well beat I will need to leave on 75 mins to beat the traffic either way I'll be more mobile than most of the team

 

Lossau did a great job last time he was here for longer term so I can not believe that he was getting them to do stuff that they shouldn’t be able to do. More likely that they couldn’t do it as they were not in as good a shape as the players were last time he was here
