Despite what the clubs threaten I've never seen an away fan removed simply for persistent standing.

 

Exactly. Everyone will be stood up.

 

Not wanting to get into the rights or wrongs in this thread but most clubs fans stand up at away games, the big clubs in the premiership do. And I'm same as you I've never seen anyone removed for it.

 

10000% I don’t think people should stand, but they will.
It irritates me at every away game. Strangely though at half time everyone sits down.

 

I agree. It is mostly why I have stopped going to away games.

 

People say the atmosphere is dampened if you sit down. That’s bollox.
Nobody stands up persistently at VP and the atmosphere is excellent.

Yep, I was there. That game was timed perfectly as a stop on the way back from a holiday in Cornwall. Cant believe it’s 22 years ago!! Yowsers!!

first visit back to Cardiff away in a couple of weeks, getting on the rattler at Stockport at 0940. I think that train is likely to be busy with City fans! Hope we get a seat!!

 

I was there also, spent a great (read alcohol) weekend in Cardiff.
I don’t think the train will be anywhere near as bad as those for the northern games last season!

 

Can’t be as bad as the train from Hell to Nottingham.

 

We were on the one which stopped in Sheffield, they let a load of shoppers get on then refused to set off because it was too full (which it was, but shouldn’t have let dozens more pile on).
One chap fainted, it was appalling

Well over a week to go so could see 2.5k going to South Wales which would be a cracking effort.

 

Figure surprises me, in a good way. I think our away followings are slowly catching up to home numbers after two decades of investing in the cheap STs. Back of promotion a factor too obviously.
