Class on his day but injury prone according to their fans. At 28 you have to wonder why he hasnt found a club.

 

I find this hard to believe. Not necessarily anything to do with how he could play but Luton play the same formation as us so I don't know where he fits into their team. He doesn't want to play LWB, I don't think he can play in a 2 in midfield and he's not a 10 so unless they are changing to a 352 I don't see it. That being said I do think they need to change formation as they are wasting Wells playing him as the left sided no 10.

 

Let's hope it's true a big earner from L2 off the wage bill might mean we can bring in two new players

 

Oduor surely one of the lower earners. And do we really need 2 more? Squad is bloated.

 

I also find it unlikely, but Oduor would be unbelievably cheap for a side with parachute payments who would also be preparing for those payments to end (ie, needing to reduce the wage bill pretty drastically).

That's the main thing I can think to give it plausibility - but it just doesn't seem very logical for a side like Luton to be signing Oduor. By the looks of it they've been alternating their front 3 quite a bit, so wonder if they're not exactly enamoured with their attacking options. Maybe playing Oduor as a left-sided forward/attacking midfield option would suit them.

I just don't think he's good enough to go to Luton, though.

 

He was supposedly on decent money when we signed him 2 years ago something if memory serves me right Hughes mentioned at one point.

As for 2 more I think we are a defender and forward short and one reason why I think Alexander has rarely played Swan and Humphrys together as we are short in that area. Even when Cook and Kav are back I still feel we need another just in case but that's just my opinion.

 

Does the source of this rumour have any credibility ?

 

Grim news folks. Others say while there may be some truth, it sounds a bit fishy...

 

Grimsby seems far more likely but strange things can happen towards the end of the window. If he does go to Luton though, it's inevitable that he'll end up 2025/26's version of Doyle and Young at Swindon.
