    Go on then.....

Taking out this seasons players as its too early to judge. GA has 22 signings for City before this summer.... Sam Walker, Tyreik Wright (loan), Calum Kavanagh, Neil Byrne, Aden Baldwin, Antoni Sarcevic, Callum Johnson, Tyreik Wright, Jack Shepherd (loan), Oliver Sanderson (loan), Joe Adams (loan), Jay Benn (loan), Cheick Diabate (loan), Paul Huntington, Corry Evans, Brandon Khela (loan), Michael Mellon (loan), Tommy Leigh, Tayo Adaramola (loan), Joe Hilton & Romoney Crichlow.

Erm, yeah.... 90% is very very over blown.

Possibly Callum Johnson takes it down to 90, can't say anyone like Mellon, as he scored a vital goal at Salford, Byrne played enough games and did a job, Hilton we can't say yet as he's barely played. So yeah I'm not sure who's been a failure, apart from Johnson.

Ok Diabete, Sanderson, Johnson, Benn. I can't add Evans as I thought he was quality, just very unlucky with injuries, same with Adams in the little we saw of him. 19/22 is 86.36% so not far off.

Diabate, Sanderson, Johnson, Benn, Mellon, Crichlow certainly on the naff list for me. Adams was unlucky, Hilton is a backup who'll likely not do much. Maybe even add Tyreik into that naff list too, he's been so poor for a majority of his time back here.

For me, nailed on successful signings are Walker, Sarcevic, Shepherd and Adaramola. A lot are/were middle of the road or still to be knowns.

It seems a strange one full stop but this makes it even more of a head scratch. What good is a short term deal to anyone if he's currently injured and hasn't had a pre season? By the time he'd be fit to play his deal would be up!

GA hoping to sign Nick Powell next week. Powell currently negotiating a payoff with Stockport regarding remainder of his contract.

Likely to be contract until June 2026.

He clearly is a very talented player, its his injury record that is of concern.

City have been in talks with Powell and his agent for a few weeks now

Get him to prove he's worth a contract given his various injuries / lack of playing time... seems sensible to me

Nick Powell would be a very odd signing. Managed about 3 games last season and didn’t light up league 2 the season before despite his ability. He’d clearly be back up but I’d prefer a loan from a hungry young lad from a PL team.

He apparently played deeper for Stockport in league two

No doubt he's got talent but unfortunately we didn't get to see a lot of it. When he played he had a lovely range of passing in him but even when fit we'd be lucky to get 60 mins out of him. Practically non existent for us last season. Nothing against the guy though, he'll either light your place up or he'll get very familiar with your treatment table & the golf clubs in your area. He was one of our reputed highest earners & to be honest it doesn't feel like we've had our monies worth, we're mostly glad we've got him off the books! Good luck to him though if he makes the move. You seem to be making a bit of a collection of our ex-players!

Plenty of lovely golf courses in the Bradford district for him!.

A quick word on Touray. Very early days, but he has been very impressive, particularly at Bkackburn in the cup. Man of the match performance, and scored an absolute beauty.

No doubt he will have a 'mare now at your place next week!

I thought Powell was rubbish 10 years ago, thought he would have been long retired by now.....

Yeh a few Stockport fans said he was signing for us a few weeks back when it was announced he was leaving.

I dont mind this one. Seems a low risk move and another attacking option. If he cant stay fit we have others who are capable.

I just hope he’s cheap as he won’t play much.

Got to back Alexander and sharpe! On his day Powells probably one of the best players in this league if it’s a deal til end of season it’s a no brainer to me prove your worth until end of season if you don’t then nothing ventured. Probably shows how much money in wages we have saved with the likes of Oliver,Smallwood etc leaving that we can take a punt

Yeah, if it's right it's just initially a short term deal to prove fitness it's low risk, high potential reward... don't mind a couple of them each year in the hope they come off
