Always rumoured to be 8k a week all in but thats with appearance bonuses. His set wage us probably a 1/4 of that. Although of course with all contracts its all speculation.

He did reject mls, Saudi and wrexham to join us though.

 

Maybe GA sees him as a striker.......

 

Can he press ? His goal tally is meh . 6 years ago since he last had a decent run!

 

Doesn't seem to fit the mould of an Alexander player

 

Or a centre back now Hunt has gone.

Why do people still doubt Alexander signings? It really is laughable, loads said Tilt wouldn't be good enough for league one, he has been. People said Power wouldn't be the player he was a few years back, he's looked good so far. Stockport fans said Touray wasn't the best, he's been good so far. Just let Alexander and Sharpe bring these players in and back them. It's not the transfer committee we had when Rahic and Abbot were here. It's obvious we needed a little bit more quality up top and Powell brings that. Plus there's Cook to come back. I'll be finding it amusing when Kiwomya mixes Power up with Powell.

 

Don't really get this one? Another square peg round hole up front? Can he press these days as he rarely looks fit?

 

Because this one if true has red markers all over it. I'll back Alexander/Sharpes judgement but they don't always get it right.

IF their account and his stats are correct then totally agree . Strange tbf .

 

His fitness record is shockingly bad throughout his career, but managing just 9 appearances in all comps last season and 348 minutes, big worry. He's not had great availability since 20/21, if you go by League game availability, he's been available for 84 league games in 4 seasons, missed 100 squads.

 

They indicated Touray wasn't that good, he looks good to me. It was more at their opinions.not yours. However at least 90% of Alexander's signings have been good or done a job. The ones not needed now,.Smith,.Oduor and Wilson all were before Alexander. A Powell with quality to come on against tired legs is a good weapon to have at this level.

 

Attacking midfield we have Pointon, Sarcevic, Lapslie, Wright, Pattison (if needed) and Humphrys (if needed).

It's probably the most stocked area in the squad.

 

Yeah, 3rd choice behind our left winger and Halliday.

 

90% is ridiculously high. I can't be bothered trawling through them but I'm sure, with effort, a whole host of names that flopped could be reeled off.

He's done well, there's no doubting that but he's not infallible and clearly makes plenty of mistakes, when bringing in players, just like everyone else.

 

Has Calum Johnson wrote all over it.
