Match Thread Carabao Cup - Blackburn v Bradford City Tues Aug 12th @ 7.45pm

We started really well, Metcalfe being the more advanced out of him and Power. They then seemed to switch and Power was more advanced and for me that’s where Blackburn seemed to be getting through the midfield with ease.

Second half we had a few chances but overall a good defensive display.

Hoepfully Rupp adds some funds to the transfer budget now, we do still need 3 players in my opinion. A striker, an AM and a DM.

When is the draw for the second round?

Good debut for Metcalfe but Touray was outstanding

 

Excellent performance from the lads.

Losing Wright disrupted them for a bit, however, they regrouped at half time and defended resolutely in the second half. I thought Baldwin was superb in his first performance since that rush of blood at Donny.

Touray outstanding, my man of the match.

Very impressed with Metcalfe.

Big shout out for big Sam with a couple of top notch saves.

What it didn't hit though, was the back of the net...

 

We won’t be bringing in 3 players unless a few leave,I think we’re up to the limit with EFL rules now.

Great win, let's hope Wright's injury isn't that bad.

 

Humphreys with a tremendous burst of pace at the end, showing us why he’s wasted as a centre forward. I fear he might be getting frustrated due to missed chances in each of his three games.
Great win against decent opponents - Cantwell is a top player.

I would hope that the likes of Smith and Oduor will find other clubs.

 

TBF, I’ve seen them given. Tourey definitely clipped the back of his ankle, but he went down like he’d been shot.

After that Banks-esque save, I'd have backed Big Sam to have saved a penalty.

Joe Wright went off with a cut eye which was beginning to swell, hopefully he be OK for Saturday.
