If Vadane can disappear in front of 16,000 in a game at Valley Parade he can certainly disappear from a list.

 

I would have to questions over him about if he would be a good buy. From what it sounds like he's head went a bit after the rejected bid from Plymouth. Also for a couple of different reasons he's barely played in pre-season so he will take a bit of time to get up to speed. For Notts County I think they would still want a good fee for him as they've had a disaster of a pre-season with transfers/new manager and a fan backlash from it so they will want to avoid another back PR story. For me they also have to be careful as they could easily end up in a relegation fight so his goals could be vital in keeping them up.

 

Absolutely, yes I have been keeping an eye on their forum . Not a happy camp, left at home on their euro trip because a visa wasn’t obtained. The consensus seems to be his agent is a bell. there was a suggestion that Donny offered half a million a couple of weeks ago, but no substance from the usual bedroom sources . Plymouth no longer offering the alleged silly money . Plymouth cooled after their initial big bid ….so they are stuck with a diminishing asset?

 

Anymore movement on the Devante Cole rumour from West Brom.

 

He was supposed to join Port Vale a couple of weeks back. But they just brought in another forward from Wrexham, so guessing they are out? Devante is on £7.5k a week say the local rag, hard bullet for a L1 clubs to bite? Would need a huge drop to play this year, wouldn't be surprised to see them release him if they cant get a deal. Sounds like he has zero future there.

 

I doubt we are in the running for him. Its a shame, as I think he would be a great signing for us.

He was sent off in playoffs, so definitely suspended for first game, not sure whether it was more than a one game ban though

 

He was sent off for serious foul play so a 3 game ban which he's served now so should be back in their squad for the Carabao Cup tie tomorrow night away at Wigan.

 

He didn’t participate in any great deal during the build up . He certainly didn’t go to Germany for the week they were there. There’s very little about him other than the rumours of a Donny bid ….Thats it . No mention of injury.

They are bringing in another too before the weekend according to their manager. They'll have 5 or 6 strikers on the books and they play 1 up top..... bit weird! Although he keeps playing his strikers out wide and hoping something clicks.

 

We’re a striker and a DM short for me. Power has been steady away but we won’t see the best of him in the role he’s being asked to play.

 

Sort of player who would have been a good accompaniment to Smallwood

 

I think we are set in central midfield, numbers wise. I agree and would like an upgrade, but i think GA will stick with Power, Leigh, Pattison and Metcalfe as his engine room, Sarce and Lapslie have played CM a lot too in their careers. Quality might be another question mark depending on how Leigh fairs over the spell, Pattisons availability and Metcalfes progression. Might be an area we look at in Jan?

Striker is 100% needed.
