Summer 2025 transfer rumours

This seems a very loose rumour. When they are saying "reportedly exploring" that is 2 very non committal words that mean nothing. They've not said where the rumour has come from and "exploring" can mean anything from we've looked at him on a video and got him on potential shortlist to active discussions with his agent.

 

To me, it reads like an agent's sales pitch. Phrases like 'snap up', 'low risk', and 'added depth' do not suggest a neutral journalist reporting a rumour.

 

Woking fan here - we've just signed Olly Sanderson on loan for the season. What are we getting?

Honestly couldn't tell you much, he played 1000 minutes here last season and i bet many couldn't tell you much from any of them. Seem to remember he got a goal early on, was given a few starts and looked completely lost. He wasnt ready for L2 a year ago, might be better suited in NL for a year?

 

Max Woltman was out all last season with a leg injury that's why he's not played much .

Note he was recalled from his loan at Donny because he only made 13 appearances , “sold” to Oxford and made three minor EFL league cup divisional matches .

 

Did ok for Oxford City a couple of years ago scoring 9 in 23 so might be a decent signing for Woking at that level.

 

Follwing the PFA camp a few players got some very good moves this week....Angus Gunn (Forest), Paul Farman (Swansea), Tennai Watson (Barnsley) and a couple more in lower leagues.

Hakeeb Adelakun is still available. 29 years old and scored 13 in 30 for Salford last season and 9 in 19 for Doncaster the year before. A big bastard too.

If its just another body we are after we could do alot worse. He is a fluid forward and GA had him at Scunthorpe. Not a signing to get the pulse pumping but looks a better option than the kids weve been linked with this week!!!

 

Jack Hunt training with Sheff Weds. They dont have a great amount of players available at the min and can only sign free agents. Short term deal to fill out the squad until their ownership stuff is sorted might happen. They also have Liam Cooper training with them.

 

Letting Hunt go makes sense now.

 

Can he play up top?

 

Nothing we've been linked with this week excites me! Any additions have to provide real quality as GA himself has said - just hope we have something up our sleeve that is being worked on in hush behind the scenes

 

Fabio Borini is a blast from the past! Similar names as the last few weeks. Tyreece John-Jules is a new name, he was supposed to be something special but he's never kicked on. He's had a fair few L1 loans but nothings ever moved him on. An attacker who can play up top or out wide, looks like Crawley used him out wide left or as a 10 last season.

Jordan Davies and Anthony Forde the old Wrexham lads are surprising names to see still out there, thought they'd be snapped up by a L2 club by now. If you're in L2, theres a lot of names you'd like your club to have a look at, maybe not in L1.

 

If you're wondering how hard it is to sign a striker this window then Stevenage signing Jovan Malcolm from Gateshead says a lot.

13 goals in 45 games isnt bad but not very impressive at NL level and they paid a five figure transfer fee.

Forwards still seem difficult to find it seems.

 

They are I agree - perhaps we need to take a look and a gamble on a foreign forward/striker as Notts county did with Jatta (though I appreciate it is a bigger one bringing in a player into Div 1).

 

What about Jatta himself , with the right manager and a decent team around him ? Hes only about 8 months left in his deal and NC will need to cash in at some stage otherwise he will go for squit?

 

I see Vadaine has disappeared from the list. Does that mean he's got something lined up?
