I said we could take 3000 and was told we would not get anywhere near
Good start to the season and my prediction will be spot on or bettered

 

We'd have barely scraped a 5-6k home crowd for this

Goes to show that the bulk of those who attend these types of early round cup fixtures are the same ones that go away.

To the casual fan / season ticket holder it isn't of much interest

 

You maybe guessing here. We had 5k for a friendly just two days ago against a CC side .

 

looks like around 2,600 sold - likely to see another block of seats (800) going on sale tomorrow.

 

Around 3000 sold now.
Only a tenner a ticket and you get 20 valuable loyalty points.
Direct train from the Interchange and a late service back at 22:42.
Plenty of options and tickets left for those still undecided.

 

Totally agree. Great game, not far to travel and tickets only £10. 3,200 sold at moment and they go off sale 12 noon on Monday so hopefully a late rush!

 

Especially if three points is bagged today?

Had over 50% of the ball away from home but their manager said they didn't test the keeper enough. Also said they were disjointed with all their new signings as that was their first game

It's a big ask but is this a chance for us?

 

I don't think stats like those are particularly relevant for a match like this.

It'll be Blackburn reserves vs City reserves

Both teams will be made up mostly of players who have yet to start a league match. The main starters will be rested/benched. League takes priority

 

Well it would be pretty silly to play the same players yet again at those stage of the season, particularly older players or those that have been flagging, but we'll still put out a strong team I'm sure.

 

Yeah I'm sure we will, our bench and fringe players are higher quality than the first half of last season.

My point was because the teams will almost certainly be so vastly different, the stats from the previous league match are pretty irrelevant as there'll be a different set of players on the pitch

Yes probably , players just won’t be fit enough to do Sat / Tues so early . It will be a session for the bench / squad players largely BB? Mind you it’s knock out isn’t it so who knows?

 

I reckon we’ll change 6 or 7 for this game and so will they.
It’s a glorified friendly that either team can win.

 

How much are people paying on the travel club coaches?

Train for me and eldest is £26. Our tickets are only £10 and £5. Very tempted by this!
