Apparently Huntington is no longer training with us.

 

Wish him well if true . He will find a club for sure.

 

Wonder if he is the player we missed put on or will his price be out of our range?

He wont struggle. One final year at Carlisle? They want another CB from the looks of their fanbase, could do a job at NL level for sure.

 

Good news IMO. Assume Hunt still is though.

 

He signed on loan. Spuds only decided this week...there was a list of them. Oxford got Lankshear on loan too.

 

Someone who sits by me on Saturday was telling folk that he heard Hunt originally was only training with us as a favour to Lucketti. He was a mentor to Hunt when they were at Huddersfield and CL was doing his badges he said. But since he's been with us, GA has really liked him too.

He usually spouts utter nonsense, but I remember posting on here at the end of last season that the same bloke was telling everyone the new home shirt would be mainly claret with amber thin trims. Stopped clocks are still right and all that jazz.

 

I have a family connection to one of JH's close friends and as per my post earlier this week he will be signed up if an outfield squad place becomes available. He is of course free to look elsewhere until then but really wants to sign for City due to locality and the longer term plan that's in place

 

Less than impressive 0 in 25 last season and second choice behind a 19 yr old loanee a lot of the time

 

Final decision this week; I'm sure that they knew where he would be going a couple of weeks ago. It is a loan so no monies involved?

Who among us wouldn't leave Gran Canaria for Hull

 

Longer term plan? He'd be 3rd choice right back and a completely unnecessary signing.

If this is true, the transfer committee need to tell us how and why this would actually make any sense at all.

 

Unless Halliday was on his way? Too good for a bench player IMO

 

Ive been thinking that for a while to be honest

 

Makes little sense on paper to bring Hunt in, we already have a back up RWB in his 30s, and Neufville has played enough now to not be depending on an experienced head in the camp. Unless he's some amazing hype man at training or just immense for morale, i don't see much need for Hunt. Unless Brad is on his way?

 

Hunt would be 2nd choice in my opinion

 

If we are wanting to sign Hunt it wouldn't surprise me if we are thinking about trying to cash in now on Halliday as I'd imagine he's one decent wages. I don't think we'd get a lot for him but if we do think Hunt is as good as Halliday it makes sense to get a bit of cash in for him and someone on cheaper wages and then use that money towards another player or hold it back until January.
