If we cannot shift Odour on then there is no point signing another CM. May as well make do with him as that 5th/6th choice. Pizza Cup games apart, hopefully we never have to drop that far for league games.

From his Chesterfield heat map and touch map, he was all over the shop. He didn't really have a set area of the midfield where he looked to get the ball away the most or tackle area where he is effective. But to be fair he's that young and inexperienced, he could learn to play any CM role if coached properly and he has the tools to pick it up. Early days yet but he might find himself playing either role at times, maybe in the trophy games with less pressure.

You can say that again about a dubious red card. How on earth he got a yellow for the first card I have no idea, given his only offence was to have an opposition player sit on him and not let him get up.

I’d seen him a few times as I watched quite a few run in games when we weren’t playing . Hes a lot to learn but he does remind me of at least two players , Stuart and to a lesser extent Gareth Whalley . Oh and maybe Gary Jones. Always in the middle receiving the ball from the backline and driving forward or releasing the wing backs . Time will tell Idle .
