He was in the right, place and caught it perfectly and brought a great instinctive save. Very harsh criticism of Humphrey

 

I thought at the time Humphrys was stretching more than he was.

He really should've scored that. Excellent chance. And be fair on Leigh, that ball in is fantastic.

 

Thought he had a good game, but he and others were blowing by the 65th minute.

 

Looked easier on the replay tbf. That ball though!

 

GA in todays T&A. Wants Humphrys to become am effective striker for the club. That aint happening playing him in midfield.

Let's hope this time what he wants is more successful than when he wanted Leigh to be that person.

 

Not surprised after how we didn’t give them a kick in the first half. Probably the best i have ever seen from city in pressing and work of the ball and in the first competitive game of the season

Unfortunately yes, he seems smitten by the best shirt puller we've had for years.
Should be nowhere near the squad never mind team.

Bloody hell we aren't criticising Humphrys for not scoring that are we? It's great technic to get that contact and a top class save. Sometimes wonder what people see.

 

It was whipped in nicely but any professional footballer should be able to put something like that in 9 times out of 10.

Its basics imo.

 

Play much football? Cross whipped in hip height you are concentrating on keeping it down which he did well. Head might have been a better option but depends how sighted he was

 

Yes and no , but as I said the other day, anywhere where the keeper wasn’t stood and it was a goal . Fortune for the keeper, harsh on Humphrys perhaps?

It's a 50/50 for me. You see them type of chances missed a lot even at the highest level.

 

No mate I'm not criticising. It looked a very difficult chance from where I was sitting. It looked less difficult than I originally thought having seen the replay. That's all.

I don't disagree. Too many athletes nowadays, not enough footballers.

Not trying to discredit Leigh, he played a good ball in. Just think we don't see enough of this nowadays - its frustrating when it doesn't beat the first man.

 

I thought Humphrys did everything right, run was good, he made nice contact, it was just a bit of a freak save.

Whether GA or I rate him or not, I actually dont think he will start 20 games.

The injury he suffered will keep him out for at least 2 months. When he has recovered, we may have a settled defence, and he may find it difficult to get back in.

The injury is a real blow to him, as I maintain he would have started the season in the side.
