Luton are going to be the team to beat this year just signed Jerry Yates alongside Wells they will score for fun.

 

I keep making this point. Were carrying 2 or 3 players we don't want. Everyone keeps saying "don't worry, they'll leave" but it appears to be a problem we have more and more unfortunately.

 

If Matt Bloomfield can adapt to being a manager of a team that are favourites rather than underdogs like he's been his whole career I can see Luton walking the division with 100+ points.

 

Yates looks a great signing for League 1, I’m not sure he’s going to be play alongside Wells though - he looks a carbon copy but younger. I’d have thought it will be one starting and the other on the bench. Especially based on them starting 1 up top tonight. Teams would just drop deep to avoid their pace as neither of them are winning anything in the air at 5’9 and 5’7.
Both scored 10 in c.40 last year in the Championship so good stats. It shows the standards at the top of this division though. Luton’s (likely) bench striker (Yates or Wells) would walk into our starting XI!

Play on the deck with pace through the three giants at the back of Luton they are beatable . Why Dons are playing long and high is baffling . They were effective pressuring their back line…now they have gone quiet.

 

Their defence looks shabby but it's the first game so rustyness is there. Think they still nicked this though.

 

Didn't realise Luton spent £1m on their keeper this summer either. Watching it in a bar in Guiseley and there's a table of Wimbledon fans here watching it in their clobber. Although not a lot I'd say they can cheer about so far..... it's pretty drab!

 

Don't know who he is, never heard of him and don't know what position he plays..but I want us to sign him.

 

The only people that thought Luton would walk over Wimbledon are the arrogant folk that never watched Wimbledon last season.

We all know you have to scrap for a win against them. They were always going to make it very hard for Luton.

 

He must have, it's not as if anyone would just make things up. Next someone will be saying that Vadaine Oliver had 79 assists during his spell at Gillingham.

For proof, have a think back to 2009 when Norwich got hammered 7 1 by Colchester on the opening day. What happened after that? They absolutely romped the league.
