It was mentioned in City's press release:
"Your digital tickets must be added to Apple or Google Wallets for them to scan at the turnstile."

And this message will come with purchased tickets:
"IMPORTANT INFORMATION: YOU MUST ADD THIS TO YOUR GOOGLE / APPLE WALLET. PRINTED TICKETS OR PDFS WILL NOT WORK OR BE ACCEPTED AT THE TURNSTILES, NOR WILL YOU BE ALLOWED ACCESS TO THE STADIUM."

Also safe standing is available at the back of every block.

Don’t know if it’s just me but I’m not a fan of the growing numbers of clubs using Digital Tickets.

Much prefer paper tickets which I can keep in a folder and look back on in years.

Got mine and my lads earlier. Long time since I have been to Stockport for various reasons but my lad as said he wants to do a few away games so hopefully can get to as many as possible.

Just tried to buy tickets. All it’s offering me is in Wheelchair Bays. Does this mean it’s otherwise sold out?

    These things happen.
I did the same for Chesterfield away last season.

Yep. I was planning on going to Stockport. By the time my mate said yes……we had sold out!
Still think Stockport could have sectioned off the ‘Popular’ side which we were in last season. Apparently the capacity of the ground is 10,582. Stockport have complied with the rule for the % of seats to be made available, but having removed the seats to visiting supporters, in the ‘Popular’ side (which actually has a roof), are in breach of EFL rules which state, ‘…comply with the requirement to provide undercover seating for a minimum of 200 away fans’.
Stockport could have satisfied that by retaining the arrangements until they had a cover over the Railway End.
As with Doncaster last season, some clubs flaunt the rules, or at the least the principles/ethics of fairness to visiting supporters!
On average Stockport got 9,600 (reported capacity 10,582) last season, so around 1,000 empty seats. Ironically the blocks they use to release on the Popular side (covered) were around 900. So they could have had a total sell out.
    Small mindedness is just that!

    Hi county fan in peace,

This season we have added safe standing in the cheadle end and the railway end (behind both goals)

We also have to give away safe standing due to an efl rule.

Last season we missed out on alot of tickets due to the railway end not having a roof and no regular wants to be in there.

This season weve made the decision to give the popular side to home fans, therefore the away end is now the railway end - which tbh started after bolton at home last seaon as they complained we only gave them about 900 tickets (it was revealed their club gave staff about 250-300 tickets)

Your rules apply the % are correct and we have met them, and the 200 seating rule is also met.

Just not yet, presumably weve been given permission from the efl for the 1st month of the season while we get planning permission by the council to put up a temporary roof

The maximum time the temp roof should be there is 2-3 years which seems long but the start of our £70,000,000 ground expansion should start in the next year but again weve had trouble getting planning permission but the club are very confident as of last nights fan forum (along with a £30,000,000+ training facility)

Although it being a Tuesday night, a Saturday fixture would have been no different in august - there are no trains running through Stockport

Not sure why a section of the Popular End couldn’t have been made available to visiting supporters until the ‘roof’ is in place.
Stockport have had lots of experience in allocating a section of that stand.
I have been in it on a few occasions, including two seasons ago.
You didn’t fill your capacity on a regular basis last season and I still expect there will be 1000+ empty seats for the game.
I recognise it is not your personal decision, but until Stockport County have erected the ‘temporary’ roof, they should have made a covered provision.
If Stockport had made another 400 seats available, then they would have generated around £10,000 extra income.
